Ending the stigma: Should we change the name of ADHD?

ADHD is an umbrella term

I think the name ADHD is not fit for purpose. But I didn’t want to write an article about just my own opinion. So I got in touch with ADHD Action and ADHD Foundation to ask them what they thought.

I chatted to both Michelle Beckett, founder of ADHD Action, and Dr Tony Lloyd, CEO of ADHD Foundation, and they shared their views on the pros and cons of a name change.

My interview with them has been published on Medium

Although both Michelle and Tony both have concerns about renaming ADHD, they weren’t enough to stop me from wanting the name to change.

Here’s my article on Huff Post about changing the name of ADHD
